I had been planning on keeping a blog for a really long time. But it always seemed like it wasn't the time to really start, for many reasons. One being that I didn't really have a "topic" in mind and I don't want to keep this as a journal or daily diary since it's open for anyone to read.

Yesterday, I got the best idea for this blog. First, we have to rewind.

Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be Miss Turkey since my mom was Miss Turkey in 1972, a long time ago. And I saw some pictures and it really pushed and motivated me, and created some sort of long term goal in my mind. After I did some calculations, I figured I could give it a try for Miss Turkey 2010, the year I would graduate from university. Long story short, my graduation date has been postponed to 2011.

Yesterday morning I was working on my homework, and out of the blue I Googled Miss Turkey, and the applications were available. I got really excited and my mom even said I should give it a try. Thinking about it, I don't really have anything to lose. Unfortunately, the last day of applications is March 10, which gave me just 4 days to prepare a portfolio - not enough time.

I decided, that I WILL apply for Miss Turkey 2011. I also have some slight weight issues, in which I should lose 30kg, I have the height, however :)

What I'm trying to say is that this will be my blog on my progress because I am really serious about this. I know the winners of these kinds of contests work on social community work and I have a lot of experience in that field, and I truly believe that I can change this country (it needs change).

As March 7, 2010 being my first day, I went to the gym with support of one of my best friends, D. I did a really great workout and worked all (I think and hope) my muscles. I can feel it, and it's a great start, and I cannot wait to see myself in Jan of 2011.

As an end note, I won't write only about my progress, but also about stuff that I find that seem interesting so I can share it with you!
